July 11, 2025 – OLDSMAR, FL – TWN Communications is proud to announce it has been awarded a $1.5 million grant through the Connect New Mexico Student Connect Program, administered by the Office of Broadband Access and Expansion (OBAE). This funding will enable TWN to deliver high-speed broadband within the Silver Consolidated School District, offering free internet service for a three-year period.

This milestone initiative will bring fast, reliable internet to families who need it most—helping students stay connected to their education, expanding access to virtual health services, and supporting opportunities for economic development across the region.

“This project is about empowering families with the connectivity they need to succeed,” said Justin Donaldson, Chief Operating Officer of TWN Communications. “We’re not just installing internet, we’re opening doors to education, careers, and opportunity. It’s exciting to see how this investment will support students today while laying a foundation for long-term growth in the community.”

The high-speed plan provided through this program will offer reliable connectivity for online learning, telehealth services, remote work, and other critical daily needs. In addition to serving these 484 homes, the project will allow TWN to expand its footprint in the region, bringing improved speeds and enhanced service options to the broader community.

This project underscores TWN’s ongoing commitment to bridging the digital divide and investing in communities across New Mexico and beyond.
