Even though school may have started…summer isn’t over yet! Why not enjoy a backyard movie? With the right equipment and the right setup, turning your backyard into an outdoor movie theater is easier than you think!

How to set it up
1. Choose your location – Find the prime spot for your portable screen or if you’re using a sheet, be sure to pull it taut when attaching it to your wall or fence. If you don’t have much yard space, set it up against your garage door or string it between two trees.
2. Figure out the sound situation – You can use an outdoor sound system if you already have one. If you don’t, you can move your soundbar outside; or an even easier option is to use portable Bluetooth speakers.
3. Get ready to stream – First, prop your projector up on a side table or stool if it doesn’t come with a stand. Next, connect your projector to your media player. You can connect your laptop or streaming stick (Roku, Fire Stick, etc.) directly to your projector via HDMI. You can also use Apple TV or an Amazon Alexa-equipped remote.
4. Kick back and relax – It’s time to enjoy your movie!
