Check for Service Outages in Your Area

Before troubleshooting at home, it’s a good idea to check whether a known outage is affecting your area. Outages can be caused by weather, scheduled maintenance, or unexpected network issues.

To check for outages:

  • Log into your TWN Account.
  • Look for any outage notifications, which will appear on your dashboard.
  • Or, contact our Customer Care Team at 877-877-6861.

What Causes Internet Outages?

Outages can happen for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Severe weather such as high winds, lightning, extreme heat, ice or snow.
  • Scheduled maintenance to upgrade or improve service.
  • Unexpected technical issues such as damaged equipment.
  • Power outages – If your power is out, your local utility provider will need to restore power to your home or business before your internet service can be restored.

Our team works around the clock to minimize disruptions and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

TRoubleshooting Tips

If there’s no known outage in your area, try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart your modem and router – Unplug, wait 30 seconds, then plug back in.
  • Check all cables and connections – Make sure everything is secure.
  • Try a different device – This will help determine if the issue is device-specific.

Preparing for Storms or Emergencies

Planning ahead can help keep you connected during severe weather events:

  • Charge devices in advance.
  • Have backup power sources ready (battery packs or generators).

  • Download important content for offline use.

A 30-day notice is required to cancel service for fiber internet. A one-time line connection fee of $199.00 may be applicable for fiber internet service. This non-refundable fee will be applied after network construction has been completed in your area.
