As we approach the end of the year, we’re proud to reflect on our progress in delivering reliable, high-speed fiber internet across HREMC’s service area. In 2024 alone, we connected over 1,000 HREMC members to the network!
Currently, there are ten zones where fiber internet is available: Lafayette, Lincolnville, Uniondale, Huntington, Hopewell, Mt. Etna, Wabash West, Servia, Rock Creek, and Bippus.
After closing out construction in Wabash West and Rock Creek earlier in the year, crews also wrapped up construction in Huntington over the summer.
Additionally, crews expanded into Bippus this year, where they are actively working on construction and have completed installations in many homes.
In 2024, the total number of HREMC members connected climbed from 4,200 at the beginning of the year to over 5,300 by year end!
As the project moves forward, crews will continue to expand the fiber footprint, bringing the fastest, most reliable internet available to more HREMC homes and businesses.
